Gewürztraminer

This variety is a particular speciality among the white wines. A high-quality wine demands well-ripened grapes, an adapted yield level and the right site. It performs best in medium-altitude areas, should not be excessively exposed to warm temperatures. Wide day-night temperature fluctuations favour its aroma.

Sauvignon Blanc

It is a demanding variety regarding pedo-climatic conditions. Avoid excessive yields, otherwise the wine loses its typicity. By selecting the rootstock and the site where to plant, consider that Sauvignon shows vigorous vertical growth and late wood maturity.

Selection Tutzer

Originates from 10 genotypes, selected in 1977 in South Tyrol, in a vineyard situated in Terlano, near Bolzano. The goal of the selection is to get medium-sized grapes in order to get a high-quality production with attention to the aroma. The different aromatic compounds is the ideal base for top quality wines.

Chardonnay

Chardonnay is one oft the most adaptable and most widely-planted white wine varieties. In wine-growing regions with good climatic conditions the variety achieves high yields. Determining the optimal leaf-fruit ratio it produces attractive, fruity wines with crispy character of high level. As base for sparkling wines harvesting 14 days earlier. Pinot Gris

Pinot Gris is a very excellent variety of high quality. It shows sugar contents as few other varieties do. Pinot gris is a demanding variety regarding the climatic conditions and care. With a careful control of the leaves and Botrytis you can avoid affection of rot. It performs best in airy sites and if you are controlling/regulating its growth. Suitable sites: valleys and at the foot of hillsides. Remarkable results also in medium-altitudes.

Viognier

Aromas

Viognier is a grape variety with rich, seductive aromas. The main notes encountered are white peach and violet. A number of other aromas are unveiled to the palate, including orange zest, candied apricot, white flowers - namely jasmine and chervil - sweet spices, musk and honey.

Wines

When grown in the right conditions, Viognier's varietal characteristics enable it to make highly aromatic, complex, powerful wines of the finest quality.

Susceptibility to disease and pests

Viognier does not present any particular susceptibility to diseases. It is not very susceptible to gray mold.
